checklist of getting ready shots
There’s so many gorgeous shots to be had on a wedding day, and it’s super important to chat with your photographer and plan ahead! What’s important to one couple might not be as important to you, and vice versa, and everyone has different ideas of what they’d like to have special photos of, so planning it and talking with your photographer is the best way to ensure you get the photos that you really want!
Here’s my top list of “getting ready” shots!
Wedding dress & accessories - this can include your engagement ring, special jewellery, shoes, your garter!
Bride with her tribe getting ready - lots of brides choose special robes or PJ’s for their tribe to get ready in, this is a fun shot to keep!
Getting dressed - wedding dresses normally take an extra hand to get into, these are special photos to keep of your tribe helping you into your dress
Bride tribe first look - you can still have a “first look” with your tribe, even if they help you into your gown! Capture the moment you turn around and your look is finally complete, it’s priceless!
Bride with her mum - need I say more??
Groom getting ready - these shots often involve a beer, or a shot of whiskey for courage! Or sometimes just a strong coffee!
Wedding bands - the groom (should!) have these which makes for a beautiful close up shot
Groom with his dad - another special moment to keep
Have you got some ideas, but haven’t seen anything quite like what you’re after? Reach out, I’d love to chat and see how we can work together to create your vision!
Look out for an upcoming blog post… “checklist of top ceremony shots!”
