What You Should Have In Your Getting Ready Room On Your Wedding Day?
Many gals have talked about the problems that could come on their wedding day - from the location being to wet from overnight rain, the food being cold, and the small glitches that could happen god forbid.
Thats life.
HOWEVER the mantra should be: We cannot be more armed.
Because every bride has vowed to showcase her version of a glow up at her wedding, a wardrobe malfunction can make her srsly flushed with frustration.
So, to avoid such things to happen to you, here are some reminders of what you should have in your getting ready room on your wedding day.
1) Sewing kit, flat iron - the works! Even if it's just a mini dress, take extra care in transporting it to the wedding location. Creases, stains, or frays will not look pretty on anyone, especially on photographs.
Upon arriving at where you are planning to get ready, run a inspection of everyones dresses.
This way, any blotting of stains or steaming can happen ASAP. And since we cannot be more organised, every bride should have an emergency tote that contains a sewing kit, stain remover, medicine, flat iron, safety pins, and all the attitude of a Girl Scout.
2) Some edibles. Dear bride, never starve yourself. We acknowledge that this day can get pretty busy and nerve-racking, but please don't forget to eat! Have uber eats on speed dial and get some platters delivered in. Being hangry aint fun.
The weather and intensity of emotions on the day can change how you are feeling in a heartbeat, so don't forget to hydrate. Being in a ahh ‘celebratory’ mood can get us carried away, but at all costs avoid getting drunk before the party has even begun.
4) Makeup and hair emergencys. I had Kristy from Maiden Empire share her tips on your wedding day hair, so be sure to find that blog post and have a read but you know the drill - It is almost critical to have done a test run with your MUA and hair stylist beforehand.
Use it to your advantage + plan your engagement photos afterwards, and then head out for dinner!
Let me reinforce that your wedding day is NOT the time to take risks with your hair.
Be open to slight variations of what you trialled, but trust in the pro’s that you hired to do their best. They’ll likely arm you ( or mum/ maid of honour ) with the knowledge on how to take your veil out, or fix any whispy bits that unravel as the day goes on.) So dont let the pros leave without imparting some quick fix info.
