how to find your perfect wedding day hairstylist

If you’re planning your big day, there's a chance you will have already begun to consider who it is that will do your dream hair styles for you & your bridesmaids!

Book a trial with your hairstylist, but first DO YOUR RESEARCH! You should have an idea of what you’re after before your trial… Utilise Pinterest and Instagram here to come in prepared!

If you’re not happy with the style created its better to find that out BEFORE the wedding and you can try other ideas!

Things to consider??

What works best with your hair? If you’ve got super curly hair but you’re wanting a sleek, straight style, it may not last the day, so work with your hair, not against it
Having a style that compliments your dress ( not competes with it )
If you're rocking a chic, modern ensemble like a sculptural dress, ask for a sleek ponytail, an effortless low bun or a smooth blowout

Brides going for a more relaxed, rustic look (think: a lace sheath, or an off-the-shoulder boho number) might consider wearing their hair in loose, natural curls
To give it your own personal flair add in braids, a flower crown, a delicate headpiece, or tie it back in a half-up style leaving a few wispy pieces to frame your face
More of a ball gown bride? Don’t worry, we got you too!
An updo like an ethereal chignon, elegant French twist or soft tuck will show off your dress, and it will help accommodate a show-stopping veil (all while you dance the night away)

Now with that in mind, choose a realistic style, or be prepared to buy extensions for example if you have fine hair but are wanting a fuller look
Also, think about the weather eg. if your having a winter wedding there's a strong possibility of rain or moisture in the air so if your prone to getting (dreaded!) frizz then your style needs to reflect that
And don't forget to check and see if you like how your hairstyle looks without the accessory it in case you choose to remove it for the after-party
